PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides training to internal customers regarding graphic standards when needed.
  • Acts as liaison with external vendors related to publications and collateral material, such as printers or advertising mediums. Prepares material for press electronically to ensure printers receive the appropriate materials and specifications needed to produce the desired results. Ensures projects stay within budget.
  • Assists in consulting and advising internal departments on appropriate communication solutions to achieve their goals while also adhering to the Parkland brand. Plans and  schedules jobs, produces materials, coordinates with printer and vendors as needed,  maintains communication with all appropriate stakeholders and ensures projects stay within budgeted amounts.

BACKGROUND DESIRED

Must demonstrate, through work experience, successful translation of brand visualization to publications and collaterals.  Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of graphic-design equipment, tools, and techniques. Must have strong editorial background, including strong command of typography and grid systems. Must have excellent photography skills, including the ability to conceptualize photography, direct other photographers. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of stock imagery. Must be able to spec artwork for print. Must have knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
